'Working the Scene...', Intensive Screen Acting Workshops

Adventures in Genre is pleased to offer ‘Working the Scene…’, Intensive Screen Acting Workshops in Melbourne.

Our specialist screen acting classes have been developed by award-winning filmmaker, Rohan Jones. Our unique class structure means that you will be working intensively from the very first class as each session includes regular performing, filming and dissection of scenes. Under the guidance of Rohan, experienced actors will be challenged to ‘simplify’ their methods and techniques, breaking down habits that get in the way of truthful screen acting. For those with little camera experience, Rohan will help demystify the process of screen acting, developing actors’ confidence in front of the camera.

Our participants regularly track their progress through the High-Quality, High-Definition footage that is taken in class. This quality footage is also available for the Actor’s to keep or to use on their showreel’s for a minimal fee.* We also offer a Showreel Editing Service where we can combine your strongest work to create a showreel that effectively represents you.

- On-going every Monday & Wednesday Evenings
- Each session runs 3.5 Hours, 7pm – 10:30pm
